London based Stuart Chorley has over 35 years experience as a professional photographer including 20 years as an underwater photographer. Underwater photography has become a specialty, shooting for Advertising Clients such as McCann’s Japan (for Panasonic), Lowe Lintas, FCB, Grey, Publicis for Fibresure. JWT Worldwide for Shell and VCCP for O2, using Aqua-Image Coral Plates.

More recently there has been a shoot with Bob King Creative agency for Sonia Friedman Productions for ‘Rosmersholm’. In this we worked with Hayley Attwell and Tom Burke who had never been on an underwater shoot before, I think the results show they did an amazing job big thank you to them. I have worked with Feature Film Production Companies on shoots needing photographic skills, Sexy Beast, Creep, Back in Business and numerous commercials. This has also spilled over into underwater publicity work for Channel 4 including ‘The Armando Iannuchi Show’, ‘Scrapheap Challenge’ and publicity for Channel 5 amongst others.

Behind all of this Aqua-image was launched 15 years ago. Starting with Aquababies who approached me to fill a void they had to photograph babies underwater. This was to be done after a series of lessons that familiarised them with water and as a bonus, good bonding for them to their parents. Other companies followed, Splashbabies, Turtle Tots, and many more. Over this period of time the product has been developed to include, if wanted, a short video of the Photoshoot both above and below water.
